Transitional curly hair cut?

I'm trying to grow my hair out, but i want a style that will work both now and later... meaning add more layers and it grows i suppose. My hair is naturally curly and does not handle straightening very well. It's also very heavy at the moment and fall forward... thus hanging over my face and making me look dead. I'm not sure I'd do very well with bangs, but i HATE my forehead.


Any ideas?

PS... I've looked on google several times... so telling me to google curly hair styles or whatever is not helpful in the least.Transitional curly hair cut?

My hair is curly also. I would reccomend checking out curlygirl.com for advice on haircuts. Although, layers are your friend, not sure about bangs with your hair, though.
