Curly hair cut tips.?

I have long curly hair which is pretty heavy so some of the curl has come out and its now just extremely wavy. It goes down to mid back and I really want a different style for it. Any ideas?Curly hair cut tips.?
I was the same until about six months ago.


Now I have mine just below shoulder length. I also have short layers to take the bulk off the back and even shorter at the front to frame the face. Not TOO short round the front though, just up to your chin maybe?


My hair's in MUCH better condition now, the curls are totally reinvented!


You should also invest in some good frizz-controlling, curl-enhancing serum to give it an extra boost.

If you want to get the nice looking, modern pretty styles that you see around now, wet set your hair using either velcro or the plastic type of rollers. You can also style your hair in different ways, plus its better for your hair and the curls hold better and last a long time
If you want it to be curlier, have some layers cut into it, or have it thinned w/ thinning shears. Try a new part, or have really long layers cut into it so that it is easier to blow dry w/ a round brush for a straighter and sleeker look.





Yeah, don't go short. Do you remember that actress who played ';Felicity'; on that show? When her nat curly locks got cut, people stopped watching her show...
I used to have the exact same thing, but i also just got it cut to a little below my shoulders with lots of layers and it looks great. It's a lot easier to manage and take care of. And when you cut your hair it makes it really healthy. Since all the weight is off the curls have life back in them.

Get your hair cut into long layers. I too have curly hair and got my layers re-done today... I never had a better suggestion than long layers for my curly cut [:
get layers but no short ones!
